Before you leave

  • Check current station status, supported vehicles, connector type and payment setup in the operator’s app.
  • Choose a backup charging stop and review the route to your lodging.
  • Check road conditions and seasonal closures before selecting a mountain route.
  • For hotel charging, ask whether access is guest-only, reservable or shared, and whether parking and charging cost extra.
  • Review time limits and move your vehicle when your session is finished.

Common charging questions

Can every EV use these stations?

No. Check your car’s charging connector, supported charging networks and adapter requirements. The Tesla listings identify partner sites, but vehicle eligibility still needs to be confirmed in the app. Yosemite’s NPS-listed stations use J1772.

Does 24-hour access mean a charger is available?

No. Listed access hours do not guarantee a working, unoccupied charger or an open road. Check current status before arrival and keep a backup stop.

Are charging and parking free?

This directory does not quote live prices. Check charging fees, parking charges and any time or congestion fees with the operator. Park entry and lodging charges are separate.
